Let me make this clear. I have no intend of EVER firing any one of you based on your blood status. I don't care if your mother was a toad and your father a rat. If you're a wizard who made it through training, then you deserve to be here. End of story.

If I see or hear about any of you giving your fellow employees a hard time based on blood status - one way or another - I will personally think up a suitable punishment.

We are in a war. We have made advances and taken blows in the last few months, but perseverance and diligence will ensure our victory in this war. We will prevail. I have faith in all of you.

I'm ready to kill Secretary Macmillan. Alright, not kill, but depose. There would be nothing wrong with me returning to active duty. It would show that I am not commanding my department to do things I am not willing to do as well as show the wizarding world I am willing to get my hands dirty. Honestly, I miss active duty. I know, power, the ability to make decisions - is beautiful, but there is something about incarcerating an evildoer in the field that just gets me going.

It is my job to impress upon you that we are in a war and to have the press sticking their noses into the middle of an investigation would only interfere with our job. If I so much as hear anything that one of you has talked to the media, you and your superiors will have to answer to me. There will be disciplinary action, but that may be the least of your worries.

Another night at the office. Too many of those recently. At least my wife sent coffee and pastries for the department this morning.

Raban Lestrange in custody with undeniable evidence. I don't see him escaping out of this one. We need favourable press and results like this. It was lucky though. I've read the reports - I've been pouring over the details since coming back from the scene - The Order got him in a bodybind, we just apprehended him.

I CANNOT CONDONE THE ORDER! Don't these groups understand the LEGITIMACY of the law?! By taking matters into their own hands they destroy what we stand for - they are adding to the rumours of an incompetent Ministry. I will not have it. I will not stand for it.

But it was thanks to the Order's involvement last night that we were able to apprehend Lestrange Sr. I will not be sending them a thank you gift. I have no doubt that there are leaks within my department. Between the internal inquiry and Lestrange's arrest - this is the beginning - victory and justice will be mine ours. I will discover who is responsible, I fill find every one of those despicable little masked devils and send them to Azkaban to rot.

The Order assisted the Ministry last night. That does not mean I look kindly upon them, but for now, they shall not feel the brunt of my wrath. That is reserved for the Death Eaters.

Goyle and Rodolphus Lestrange were at the meeting last night. That means nothing, only that they weren't involved in last night's actions. I still want all the Lestranges questioned, even if nothing comes of it. Is that within jurisdiction? I don't see how Rodolphus will keep his position after this. There will be an inquiry, there has to me. And with the junior undersecretary spot open - No. It'd be too dangerous to change leadership of the DMLE right now. I need to wait till this war is over, till we bring about a victory before returning to my hopes and aspirations.

Hopefully you've slept. Are there grounds enough to bring in both the younger Lestranges for questioning? Rodolphus was at a Ministry meeting last night, which simply means he wasn't involved in last night's attack but does not fully exonerate him. I want to catch them all.

Discrimination of any sort will not be tolerated within the DMLE. We are in charge of keeping Britain safe and that is precisely what we will do. Each of you that has made it through training deserves their spot within this department and I am proud of the work each and every one of you does. Squabbling among each other only weakens our department and our ability to do our job. I don't care about anyone's blood status, only about bringing an end to this war and keeping the population safe. Anyone caught squabbling or causing any sort of trouble within the department will have to answer to me.

I know the past few weeks have been exceedingly difficult, however I wanted to commend all of you on your diligence and dedication to your work. You all performed admirably in responding to the Inferi in Diagon Alley and I firmly believe that had your quick and thorough response minimised the number of injuries and casualties. In addition, the Department's cooperation with civilians in the cleanup of Diagon Alley over the weekend is also to be praised. Congratulations on a job well done. I have not forgotten about a possible promotion for you somewhere within the Ministry, but I confess I have been a bit overwhelmed in recent weeks. Have you thought about which department you'd like to pursue a career in?

I finally managed to go home at a reasonable hour last night. First time in over a week. I don't see enough of my wife or son enough, but what can I do? We're in the middle of a war. I need to lead by example. I need to be here whenever something happens.

What the hell was that? We need to discover the extent of the broadcast and take precautions. Increased security at the Ministry would not be amiss in my opinion along with an extra security detail on the Minister.

I need people to find out if that was heard anywhere besides the Ministry. If so, the public needs to be reassured. Volunteers for extra security around the Ministry would also be appreciated.

A very happy Mothering Sunday to all the mothers out there, without you, we would not be who we are, and we would not even exist, particularly to those women in the Ministry and the DMLE with whom I have had the pleasure of serving, who manage to juggle their careers with the duties of motherhood. It is incredibly admirable and we should all take a moment to thank them for what they do.

To my wife and mother of my only son, you are my inspiration and my joy and the most amazing woman I have ever met. I am proud to be your husband and look forward to spending the day with you.

It's always nice to see the end of a week, particularly when it features an excellent speech by our fearless Minister. It was a bit of a hard week, but I do think this week's sensitivity training was a success. The food was certainly delicious, if a bit unusual. Perhaps we should do something like this every month or two.

I was curious if any members on your team had an opening for a trainee/junior officer. It seems that we could all use additional staff and I realise it might be a bit awkward having to train someone, but let me know.

I managed to get home in time for dinner three times this week. I think that's a new record. I'm worried about Barty. I don't know how to connect with him. He wants a promotion. Maybe a bit more responsibility would do him good, but he didn't finish Hogwarts and he didn't sit his NEWTs. There is only so much I can do. Doesn't he realise that? Doesn't he realise that I'm trying? The amount of pressure I'm under? We need this internal investigation. There are not enough hours in the day for me to investigate everyone personally and cooperation with I-2 is necessary. I only hope they are trustworthy and as ruthless as their reputation claims they are.

I'm at home on a Saturday. I've forgotten what this feels like.

A bit congratulations to the DMLE on yesterday's swift control of the situation. It was a job well done and the result of the benefits that can be achieved through departmental cooperation.

I need to have my spare robes dry cleaned. I've been sleeping in the office too much. Barty doesn't approve. I've been thinking of offering him the position of my personal assistant. I'm not sure if he'd want it and that would certainly be favouritism. Or at the least, nepotism. Something to think on. I need a drink. It's only nine in the morning. Coffee then.

The incompetence of the Ministry's secretarial staffing pool knows no bounds. It's enough to make someone tear out their hair. I miss good old fashioned reliable and competent staff. The middle of a war is not the time to have rotating temporary staff in the DMLE. In case anyone knows anyone, I am on the lookout to hire a competent, trustworthy personal assistant. Full time. Long hours. Attention to detail and dedicated work ethic required.

I slept at the office again last night. It wasn't the first time this week. Meeting with Rufus and Alastor this morning. I think we need to go on the offensive. This has been one of the worst weeks in the war. Some of the staff are still recovering from the illness that went around the Ministry last week.

Perhaps recent events will persuade the Minister to consider granting the DMLE more powers. The time for Martial Law may be approaching.
